RMBS
Van Lanschot successfully completed the sale of € 247.4 million A1 notes and € 500 million A2 notes of Citadel 2010-I in November 2010. The notes were placed with a wide group of institutional investors. The remaining notes of this transaction have been retained by Van Lanschot. This new external funding has improved Van Lanschot's funding diversification, thereby also further strengthening the bank's solidity. Van Lanschot has retained the debt securities of the other RMBS transactions. These eligible assets can be used as collateral with the Dutch Central Bank.

The Lancelot 2006 transaction was a securitisation of part of Van Lanschot’s commercial real estate loan book. The securitisation transaction led to a reduction of Van Lanschot's exposure on the real estate market and additional long-term funding.
