Van Lanschot believes that corporate social responsibility (CSR) is first and foremost a matter of integrity in business, and it has applied this principle continuously since 1737.
The permanent dialogue we conduct with all our stakeholders forms the basis for this. Van Lanschot’s strategy therefore explicitly states that in achieving its financial objectives the bank wants to work in harmony with all its stakeholders.
Structure of csr policy: four areas of focus
With a view to ensuring a structural, consistent approach to CSR,
Van Lanschot has divided CSR into four areas of focus:
- core banking activities,
- employees,
- environmental management and procurement, and
- social environment (support for social projects, voluntary work, donations, etc.).
To Van Lanschot, CSR relates primarily to the quality of the services it provides (core banking services) and the people behind these services. This area in particular is addressed in this part of the website.
